FHCN adds two PA’s in Farmersville

FHCN adds two PA’s in Farmersville

Family Health Care Network recently added two new physician’s assistants to its Farmersville Health Center and an OBGYN to its Woodlake Health Center.

Heidi Burgi, P.A.-C. Heidi joined the Farmersville Health Center in early November. She joins fellow physician’s assistant Erika Horner, P.A.-C who came to the Farmersville Health Center in late October.

Heidi is passionate about evidence based medicine practice while serving in her community. Her educational studies include an Associates of Science in Physician Assistant Certification, a Masters of Medicine Science from Saint Francis University in Loreto, PA and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. She is certified under the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and Basic Life Support of Healthcare Providers. Her clinical rotations in family medicine also include geriatrics, psychiatry and clinical preceptorship.

Erika completed the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at the Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. She has also traveled to the University of Salamanca in Spain and has conversational Spanish speaking ability. She brings with her to FHCN a background in general surgery, pediatrics, women’s health and dermatology. Erika has received certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Ivan Sarria, MD, OB/GYN joined the Woodlake Health Center in November. Dr. Sarria comes from Danville, Penn. with more than 20 years of experience. He began his residency program in obstetrics and gynecology at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and completed his medical doctorate at the Universidad de Caldes in Manizales, Caldas, Columbia. Dr. Sarria is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as the American Medical Association.
