Habitat for Humanity helps gift garden

Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County will partner with Showcase Events for the 2013 SpringFest February 8th, 9th and 10th at the Visalia Convention Center. Habitat is thrilled to be able to offer the opportunity to win a “Start Your Garden” gift basket from Lowe’s! The winner will be announced at 4pm on Sunday.  You do not have to be present to win.

This year’s exhibit will feature items from our Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a thrift store for building materials and supplies. The ReStore’s goals are to divert usable building materials and supplies from our local landfills, to make these materials available to the public at reasonable prices and to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity programs in Tulare County.  The ReStore is located at 637 S. Lovers Lane in Visalia.

Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build, renovate and repair houses and to strengthen the community. Since 2008, Habitat for Humanity has gone from just building new homes to purchasing and renovating foreclosed homes and repairing older homes.  These programs have given Habitat the opportunity to serve even more people in Tulare County.
