Castro shines in Lindsay victory

Lindsay’s Christina Castro had a triple double in a 59-30 victory over Granite Hills on Jan. 17.

Castro had 24 points, 14 rebounds and 12 steals in the East Sequoia League match up.

Destiny Garcia was second on the team with 10 points while Kennedy Blue had eight points, nine rebounds and six blocks for the Cardinals.

Lindsay’s defense kept Granite Hills from scoring double digits in all four quarters. The most points Granite Hills could score was nine.

With the victory the Cardinals improve to 12-5 overall and 2-0 in ESL play. On Friday Jan. 25 the Cardinals will be on the road to take on Corcoran (6-10) with the tip off time set for 7:30 p.m.
