Lindsay Police Log

Wednesday, April 3

At 6 a.m. Lindsay Units responded to 700 block N. Hamlin Way, Lindsay to conduct a probation search. Upon arrival units checked the main residence via consent with negative contact with the probationer. Officers then attempted contacted at a converted garage for approximately twenty minutes before receiving a response. Contacted was Jose Eleazer Navarro, who was found to have delayed peace officers in searching his residence. He was also found to be in possession & control of two glass Methamphetamine pipes. Navarro was arrested and transported to the police department for processing prior to being lodged at the Porterville Substation.

Wednesday, April 3

At 7:03 a.m. Lindsay Units responded to 400 block N. Central Ave. to serve and arrest warrant. Upon arrival the subject of the warrant Frankie Tapia, was not located. Officers then responded to a second address on the 400 block N. Central Ave. and contacted the tenant Marcie Manriquez. She advised that Tapia was not located at her residence and was advised of his active want for felony charges. Manriquez continued to deny Tapia was inside her residence, and officers gained consent to search the residence for Tapia from the tenant. Prior to entering the residence, Tapia kicked out the screen to a back window and attempted to flee. He was apprehended in the backyard after a short struggle and was arrested. A search of the residence produced three glass Methamphetamine pipes in the room Tapia exited, which was identified as Manriquez’. One of the pipes still contained a usable amount of Methamphetamine. Manriquez was placed under arrest for harboring a felon, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Tapia was arrested for his active Tulare County Warrant, Possession of Methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. Both were transported to the police department for processing. Tapia was later booked at the Porterville Substation and Manriquez was later booked at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

Wednesday, April 3

At 7:58 a.m. officers responded to a report of suspicious persons at 100 block W. Center, Lindsay. Upon arrival Erick Armondo Reyes, of Lindsay took leg bail northbound from the residence. Rufino Maduena, took leg bail into the residence at 100 block W. Center. Reyes was pursued and overtaken at 700 block N. Sweetbrier, where he attempted to fight with officers. He was taken into custody without further incident and was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. He was also found to have an active Tulare County Arrest Warrant. Officers then responded back to 100 block W. Center where Maduena was contacted and detained. Also located was Rodrigo Hernandez, who was found to have two Active Tulare County Arrest Warrants. Maduena was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in violation of his PRCS terms. A hold was placed by officers and both subjects were arrested and transported to the police department for processing. Both were later booked at the Porterville Substation.

Thursday, April 4

At 2:02 p.m. officers responded to 200 block N. Hwy 65 for a report of a female subject in a Jaguar who had an active warrant. Upon arrival, officers contacted Christopher Michael Chaney who was found to be in a grey 2003 Jaguar. Chaney was found to be in possession on active community supervision and had 3.5 grams of a controlled substance and $2860 in US Currency. Additional officers responded and began checking the complex for the female. Officers located Karen Elizabeth Noble, hiding in the McDonald’s bathroom. Noble was found to have two active warrants with a total bail of $45,000. Both subjects were transported to the PD for processing and later booked at Tulare County Jails.

Friday, April 5

At 6 p.m. Lindsay units responded to 500 block S. Mirage to execute a search warrant. Upon arrival, Officers located two loaded firearms. Officers arrested Jose Godoy III, for child endangerment. He was later booked and lodged at the TCSO Porterville Sub-Station.

Friday, April 5

At 11:48 p.m. officers responded to the 900 block of Olivewood for a report of a subject possibly in the back yard of the residence. The reporting party stated a male subject had been calling her all day and stated she had a restraining order against him. Upon arrival contacted was Armando Rivera, who was found to be hiding near the reporting parties vehicle. While attempting to detain Rivera, he became non-compliant and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was arrested and later booked at the TCSO Porterville Sub-Station.

Saturday, April 6

12:20 p.m. Dispatch advised of a call from Johnny Cathey, advising that while taking a walk near his old residence, he located his 1988 BMW 325i, on Citrus and Harvard. Officers responded and contacted Cathey, who after further investigation admitted to lying about material facts regarding the stolen vehicle investigation. He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of a switchblade knife. Cathey was arrested, transported to the PD for processing and later booked at Porterville Sub Station.

Sunday, April 7

At 12:42 p.m. officers responded to a 1000 block of E. Denver for a report of a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, Officer’s observed Thomas Franklin Jones III, unknown female involved in a verbal disturbance. Jones was uncooperative and took a fighting stance towards officers. Officers detained Jones and were advised that Jones had pushed the female and pulled her by her hair. Jones attempted to prevent her from reporting the incident. He was arrested and later booked into Visalia Main Jail.

Tuesday, April 9

At 11:11 a.m. Isaac Herrera Martinez, came into the police department to surrender himself on Tulare County Arrest Warrant. Martinez was arrested and processed at the police department prior to being lodged at the Visalia Main Jail.
