Exeter Union HIgh School Alumni Foundation invites you to honor alumnus of the year, George McEwen, Class of 1965.  Mark your calendar for April 27, 5 p.m. at the Exeter Memorial Building. Social hour and hors d’oeuvres, 5-6pm, with dinner starting at 6 p.m.  The awards  ceremony begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45, or a table of 8 for $320.  Make checks payable to: EUHS Alumni Foundation.  Proceeds go to help fund the Alumni Student Scholarships.  Mail your check to PO Box 1035, Exeter, California 93221.

City of Woodlake holds free Spring Cleanup April 18-20 at City Yard

It’s time for Spring Cleanup! Woodlake residents living within the City limits that receive water and trash service are encouraged to take advantage of a free trash dump. The City of Woodlake’s Public Works Department will be accepting the following items starting Thursday, April 28 continuing through Saturday, April 20 at the City’s Corporation Yard located at 595 S. Valencia Blvd.:

General Refuse: Old couches, mattresses, washers and dryers, scrap metal, fencing material, or other unwanted items. Cement, tires, paint, chemicals and asphalt or other hazardous waste will not be accepted.

Yard Waste: Yard trimmings, grass clippings, leaves, wood scraps, tree stumps, cactus, Yucca trees, palm fronds and bamboo. Dirt will not be accepted.

E-Waste: Old computers, monitors, television sets, cell phones, small appliances, steroes and other out-dated, unusable or unwanted electronic items.

The Corporation Yard will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. To expedite the unloading of vehicles, we ask that you separate metal, green waste, cardboard, newspaper, appliances, computers and other materials.

A driver’s license and current water bill will be required to verify residency as dumping privileges are reserved for residents living within the City limits. No dump trucks or trucks over 1.5 tons will be allowed. No contractors or landlords are allowed. For more information, call 559-564-2317.

 

 

City of Exeter holds Spring Cleanup event April 25-27 at City Yard

It’s time for Spring Cleanup! Exeter residents living within the City limits that receive water and trash service are encouraged to take advantage of a low-cost trash dump.

The City of Exeter’s Public Works Department will be accepting the following items starting Thursday, April 25, 2013 continuing through Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the City’s Corporation Yard located at 350 W. Firebaugh Ave.:

General Refuse: Old couches, mattresses, appliances, or other unwanted items. Cement, tires, paint, chemicals and asphalt will not be accepted.

Yard Waste: Yard trimmings, grass clippings, leaves, wood scraps. Palm fronds,Yucca plants and Cactus are not considered green waste and must be dumped in the designated trash area.

E-Waste: In conjunction with the City’s clean up event, Community Service and Employment Training, Inc. (CSET), will be accepting old computers, monitors, television sets and other out-dated, unusable or unwanted electronic items.

The Corporation Yard will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. To expedite the unloading of vehicles, we ask that you separate metal, green waste, cardboard, newspaper, appliances, computers and other materials.

A driver’s license and current water bill will be required to verify residency as dumping privileges are reserved for residents living within the City limits. A $5 fee will be charged for each load. A truck and trailer will be counted as two loads. Vehicles in excess of 1-ton will not be accepted.
