Cardinals fall to Bears in ESL play

The Lindsay Cardinals came out swinging against Sierra Pacific in the second game of a three game series. The Cardinals were able to take the lead in the bottom of the second inning when Isaiah Macias was able to drive in two runs to give the Cardinals the 3-1 lead.

In the top of the fourth it was Sierra Pacific’s Robbie Thayer who got the Golden Bears back in front when Thayer doubled in Mason Telhia and Cody Rossi to make it 4-3 Golden Bears. Sierra Pacific would score two more runs in the top of the sixth to make it 6-3 which was the final score of game number two of the series.

In the final game of the three game series on April 11, the Cardinals were shut out by Sierra Pacific as the Golden Bears defeated the Lindsay Cardinals 6-0.

Isaiah Macias picked up the Cardinals two hits as Macias went 2-3 with a double.

The Cardinals fall to 4-12-1 on the season and are 2-5 in East Sequoia League play. The Cardinals will wrap up another three game series on Thursday, April 18 at Granite Hills. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.
